CLEAN exists to change that. CLEAN stands for CarbonLessEnergy Aware Nation, a North Carolina nonprofit corporation organized as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. CLEANbooks, the publishing imprint of CarbonLessEnergy Holdings, Inc., connects our publishing work with the wider CLEAN purpose: using enterprise, education, and collective action to promote public good and protect vulnerable people.

The CLEANmovement is a collective effort by individuals and organizations to rethink how society profits and what purposes profits serve. It calls for a selfless redirection of profits from private pockets and portfolios toward the public good and the well-being of future generations.
Our commitment is to make protecting vulnerable people a purpose of profit. The goal is lasting benefit: protecting people today while preserving opportunities and possibilities for future generations. Success means more than what is earned. It also means whom those earnings help.
